Who should join DSi?

People with Down syndrome, parents, family members and friends, carers, professionals, practitioners, researchers, organisations and people who are just interested in Down syndrome.

Why join DSi?

Individuals

  • To connect with other people and groups we know in your country;
  • To access accurate and up to date information, support and resources;
  • To connect and share news, events and activities with our network;
  • To receive updates, provide feedback and participate in World Down Syndrome Day and World Down Syndrome Congress;
  • To join our online forums, if you have Down syndrome, to have your say;
  • To become an advisor to DSi if you are an expert on health and wellbeing, development and education, participation in society or advocacy.

Organisations

  • To access and share accurate and up to date information, support and resources;
  • To connect and share news, events and activities with our network;
  • To connect with people and other groups we know in your country;
  • To receive or help us deliver Reach Out, outreach training programmes in developing countries;
  • To receive updates, provide feedback and participate in World Down Syndrome Day and World Down Syndrome Congress;
  • To join our national representative committee for national organisations;
  • To nominate expert advisors to DSi on health and wellbeing, development and education, participation in society and advocacy.

You can help us to better represent people with Down syndrome with a louder single global voice through your input, feedback and your endorsement.

For organisation membership:

The structure of our organisation membership is currently under review.  During this time, we are not taking on any more Affiliate Organisation members.  Please let us know if you are interested in joining DSi and we will contact you after the new structure has been determined.  

Membership prices and cancellation policy

Annual subscription prices for membership of DSi are as follows:

  • Individuals (18 years or over) - no charge but voluntary donations gratefully received.
  • Organisations - £240

If you represent an organisation with limited financial means, discounted or free membership may be available, subject to DSi Board approval.

You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting our International Office. However, we are not able to provide any refunds if you choose to cancel your membership prior to the annual renewal date. 

Please note Down Syndrome International is a membership led company limited by guarantee. However Representative Membership and Affiliate Membership does not constitute Membership as regards the company Articles of Association.
