By doing something that you love or by setting yourself a new challenge you can raise money to help us improve the lives of people with Down syndrome around the world.
Here is a step-by-step guide to fundraising to help you along your way.
We have also produced an Easy read guide to fundraising which you can access here:

If you choose to support DSi then the money you raise will help to fund our work improving quality of life for people with Down syndrome around the world.
Alternatively you might like to raise funds for a Down syndrome organisation locally in your country.
Get in touch and let your chosen organisation know you are fundraising for them. They may already be organising a fundraising event which you can join or have further information or guidelines for fundraising on their behalf.
Set yourself a goal and you can challenge yourself and your donors to help you reach that goal.
You might want to join an existing event or you might like to choose your own challenge.

If you need a little inspiration take a look at our Ideas for fundraising at home and A-Z of fundraising ideas list below.
Help your fundraising fly by setting up a fundraising page via Just Giving; we will send you a fundraising pack, promote your page and support you to make your event a big success!
Fundraise on Facebook
You might prefer to fundraise offline, just make sure you let us know all about your plans so we can support you and say 'Thank you!'
Our resources pack is full of useful bits and bobs to help you along your way:

Fundraising at home might seem a little tricky, but there are still lots of ways that you can raise money, with a little imagination.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
...with Strava - choose an existing challenge or create your own. You can run, ride, walk or swim - set yourself a time, distance, elevation or speed and go for it! Raise money for DSi through JustGiving and you can connect your fundraiser to your Strava account so donors can see your progress. Here is a "how to" guide.
Some of us are saving a lot of money during this time on things that we would usually be paying for in our day-to-day lives. Each day that you don't jump onto the 8:20 train, each time that you have a coffee or a glass of wine at home that would have cost much more at a cafe or bar, each time that you look in the mirror in despair at your uncut and uncoloured hair... please consider donating some of those savings to us so that we can keep going. You might like to consider setting up a regular monthly donation here - Donate.
...why not make the most of it and do an at home hair challenge? Ask your friends to sponsor you to grow a beard or moustache. Perhaps you fancy yourself with a mullet or a purple mohawk or all shaved off. You could even let the highest bidder choose your next style!
This is a great one for the kids - they can raise funds by doing jobs around the house such as cleaning, laying the table, feeding pets, watering the garden. You could even pin up a fundraising thermometer which they can colour as they raise money.
Create a birthday fundraiser on Facebook and ask your friends to donate. Here is a quick "how to" guide.
Tell your friends why our work is important to you and why you think they should support us. You could combine this with a challenge - for example, you could promise to share a funny photo for every donation you receive. Click here to get started.
...to Amazon Smile and your chosen charity will earn a small donation on what you spend at no cost to yourself.
